Samogitia

Ceremonial runaway from an urban hustle into modern interpretation of spiritual rites of Samogitia (an enthnographic region of Lithuania). A magically calming and completely nature surrounded environment of Palanga’s Birute park filled with ambient experimental sound performances of Cucina Povera, Pijus Džiugas Meižis, Brokenchord, Vladimir Ivkovič, and Manfredas. A serious inducement for a thought of what are this century’s alternatives connecting people to their old time roots.
Specially for this event custom made ethnographic pattern inspired light objects were built. Each telling their own story of a fairytale, inspired from a Lithuanian folk fairytale “Egle the Queen of Grass-snakes”
